Internship School Year
2025/2026Research lines/projects
Collaboration between Université Sorbonne Paris Nord (LSPM, CNRS UPR-3407) and Technische Hochschule Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS). LSPM expertise: micromechanics, damage modelling, heterogeneous material behaviour, and recycled polymers. LSPM facilities: mechanical/thermal characterization tools, ultrasonic testing bench, and 3D printing platform for polymers. THWS expertise: polymer processing, compounding, additive manufacturing, rheology, and process optimization for sustainable materials. Joint goals: integrate processing parameters into micromechanical and ultrasonic models, improve predictive accuracy of recycled materials. Expected outcomes: stronger link between processing and multi-scale modelling, joint supervision of students, publications, and EU project proposals under UNINOVIS. Impact: advances in sustainable polymer engineering and circular additive manufacturing, fostering long-term research and educational cooperation.

Ideal profile and expertise expected from the invited researcher
studying the mechanical, thermal and microstructural evolution of recycled polymers (PLA, PP, PET) through multiple recycling loops, integrating ultrasonic characterization to detect microstructural changes non-destructively, and coupling these findings with micromechanical and homogenization modelling to predict behaviour of heterogeneous recycled materials.
